Associate Professor of Political Science at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan. He is Director and Coordinator of the Welfare Laboratory (WEL) in the Laboratory of Comparative Politics and Public Philosophy (LPF) at Centro Einaudi, Turin. He’s also member of the European Network of Independent Experts ESPN-European social policy network, coordinated by CEPS/INSTEAD and APPLICA, financed by the European Commission – DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. As part of the network, he is a national pension policy expert.

Research interests: comparative welfare states, evolution of policy dynamics in the areas of: pension policy, labour policy, social assistance policies, Institutional change, Empirical Political Theory.
