Annachiara Cerri is coordinator of the European Platform of Social Cohesion project, recently established at the European Council within the Department for the European Social Charter, Directorate General 1 – Human Rights and Rule of Law. This new role on social cohesion issues follows on from her previous experiences as Secretary for the European Committee for Social Cohesion and particularly her roles in organisation, in the European Council and in conferences for ministers responsible for social cohesion and domestic/familial matters.
In the course of her career at the European Council, starting in 1987, Annachiara Cerri has also been involved with issues relating to education and youth, has directed the LGBT Rights Unit and the Infancy, Families and Elderly People Unit, as well as having worked extensively in the cultural heritage sector.
