Alex Pacek (PhD in Political Science at the University of Illinois-Urbana, 1991) is Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University. His main research focuses on the political determinants and consequences of life-satisfaction and happiness among the citizens of the world. He has worked for years in voter turnout and electoral choices in post-communist countries, in developing countries and in advanced industrial democracies. His current research focuses on the determinants and the political consequences of life-satisfaction and happiness.
