Full Professor at the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies at the University of Padova, and Associate Fellow at the European Social Observatory of Brussels. Coordinator and professor of ISPI courses, Institute for International Political Studies. Furthermore, he also teaches Public Policy Analysis at the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management at the Business University “Luigi Bocconi” of Milan. He was also visiting scholar at the following universities: Université Libre de Bruxelles (2013), Roskilde (2009), Amsterdam (2008), European University Institute (2008), UC Berkeley (2004). Between 2004 and 2011 he worked as visiting professor and then visiting fellow at Sciences-Po, Paris. He also lectured as a professor at Fudan University, Shanghai (2005, 2006, 2010).

Research interests: Europeanization and European integration, policy and local development policies, politics and welfare policies, participatory democracy, political consumerism and social movements.
